Nongsai villages 1 and 2

Around the year 1917 local people first setup a camp in this low lying area. Families moved from Nongnakam seeking a new location.

They saw the land was very fertile and the water was very clear.

The village is named after the lagoon which was in the middle of a forest and had clear water.
For this reason it was named Nongsai, later to be known as Nongsai village 1.

Later, another group moved to set up a community in Ban Nongdong, which was renamed Nongsai village 2.

 Eventually these two villages generally have become known as Ban Nongsai.
